We have witnessed unparalleled disruption to the global aerospace market. The over 90% demand drop in commercial air travel and border restrictions have had, and will continue to have, an impact on any commercial aerospace business, both OEM and probably to a larger extent aftermarket segments.
The resulting financial trauma has necessitated tough budgetary decisions. Many planned industry tradeshows have either been canceled or pushed to the right. Nearer term shows are not certain either with the hope that restrictions will ease and attendee confidence will be restored to a point that makes the shows viable. Each attendee company is subject to many of the challenges noted above which will influence their show participation. As the climate is different for each company, the shows to be assessed, budgets and regional restrictions, it may be useful to view a composite picture of our industry sentiment.
